Chapter 1
Shawn Douglas Brady sat there unable to move as he watched one of his closest friends dance with the new
student - Logan Chambers. He felt something tugging at him, nagging him, was he finally realizing his true
feelings.
“Shawn, dance with me. Shawn...,” the voice stated over and over. “Shawn!”
He snapped out of it as he realized who was calling him. His eyes were still focused on her, though, when he
decided what to do.
“Sorry, Mimi, my mind is somewhere else,” Shawn replied.
“Don’t worry about Belle, Logan is a nice guy. I sit next to him in French class,” Mimi commented noticing
what Shawn was focused on.
“I am going to find Phillip,” Shawn said walking away.
“What about dancing,” Mimi asked as Shawn was walking away from her. Maybe Belle was right before
that Shawn wasn’t interested in Mimi because of someone else. Did Belle realize that she was the one that
held Shawn’s heart? Mimi knew how both of them felt about each other, but she had strong feelings for
Shawn Brady, herself? What a predicament she was in?
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed him walk away from Mimi. While dancing with Logan she could feel
Shawn’s eyes on her. It was a connection they had, a bond that they shared. Her feelings for Shawn had
grown into something more than friendship, but so did Mimi. Mimi wanted to date Shawn, so Belle didn’t
stop them.
“Belle, what is going on,” Chloe asked walking up to her close friend.
“Chloe, have you seen Shawn,” Belle asked.
“He is talking to Phillip over on the balcony,” Chloe answered. “What is going on with the new guy?”
“Nothing,” Belle answered.
“From the look on Shawn’s face, it wasn’t nothing.”
“Why does everyone think the green eyed monster appears when Shawn and I are talking to someone of the
opposite sex?”
“Because it does. Why don’t you just admit how you feel about him? It would save so much precious time,”
Chloe explained.
“Shawn and I are friends that is all. I better go find Mimi,” Belle commented.
After Belle left Chloe knew it was time for a plan. She knew she would need Phillip’s help to pull it off, but
it was worth it. She walked up to Phillip and Shawn putting the plan into motion.
“Shawn, Belle was looking for you,” Chloe interrupted.
“Why,” he asked.
“She was hoping to dance with you,” Chloe answered.
“Last time I checked she was with that guy, Logan,” he sparred.
“She was only doing that to make you jealous,” Phillip commented.
“Why would Belle try to make me jealous,” Shawn wondered.
“Because you were with Mimi,” Chloe replied.
“Go find her, man. All of us know how you feel about Belle, make a move, buddy, or it will be to late,” Phillip
stated.
With that notion Shawn went off in search of his ‘Perfect Girl’. Fifteen minutes later he about gave up when
he noticed the blond on the steps in front of the school. Before he had time to reach her, a van pulled up in
front of her. Shawn didn’t recognize who the person was talking to Belle, but his intuition told him it wasn’t
good. Suddenly another guy came up behind Belle and snatched her throwing her in the van.
Shawn ran trying to reach Belle before they took off, but it was no use. As the door to the van shut their eyes
met.
“Shawn,” Belle screamed as the door shut the van speeding down the street.
“Belle,” Shawn yelled. He ran after the van but it was no use, he couldn’t reach her. His heart was breaking
watching the van disappear down the street. He couldn’t lose the one person who believed in him more than
anything.
Chapter 2
“Shawn, what’s going on,” Phillip wondered running out of the school. He had heard the screams and ran out
of the school with Chloe in his arms.
“Someone just kidnapped Belle. I have to call my dad, let me use your phone, Phillip,” Shawn shouted.
“Where’s Belle,” Mimi asked coming out of the school noticing Shawn’s state.
Chloe informed Mimi of the situation while Shawn made the call to his father.
“Dad, someone just kidnapped Belle,” Shawn yelled.
“Slow down, Shawn,” Bo replied. “ Where did this happen?
“At the dance. She had come out to the front of the school. I was walking out to talk to her when this van
pulled up. One guy came out and began to talk to her when another one came up behind her and threw her in
the van. They drove off before I could get to her,” Shawn explained.
“I will be right there.”
“Dad, hurry. I don’t know what I would do if I lost her.”
A few minutes later Bo pulled up in the car with Abe right beside him. Phillip and Mimi was trying to calm
Shawn down, while Mimi stood back watching Shawn’s concern over his ‘Perfect Girl’.
“Son, is everyone all right,” Bo asked.
“She’s missing, dad. We need to go out and find her,” Shawn rambled. “I can’t lose her.”
“What did the van look like,” Abe questioned.
“It was a old white mid-size van, one tinted window on the passenger side. I could only catch part of the
license plate,” Shawn stated.
“We need to get you down to the station,” Abe said.
“Someone should call Mr. and Mrs. Black,” Chloe mentioned.
“I’ll do it on the way to the station,” Bo stated.
“I’m coming with you, Shawn,” Mimi butted in getting in the back of the police car.
As the car drove away with Shawn and Mimi in the back, Chloe stood there in shock of the night’s events.
Phillip held her in his arms knowing how much Belle meant to the both of them. He prayed she would come
back safely into his best friend’s arms. Phillip knew that Shawn held deep feelings for Belle and she held
the same feelings for him, but both of them were too scared of admitting those feelings. Chloe and Phillip
were happy being a couple, why couldn’t Belle and Shawn.
At the station Shawn went with Abe and used a sketch artist to determine what the two guys looked like
that took Belle. John and Marlena arrived at the station to find out what was going on.
“Bo, what are you doing to find my little girl,” Marlena asked.
“Shawn is with our sketch artist right now. He caught part of the license plate, so we have a couple guys
going through the DMV trying to check any possibilities on who the van belonged to. We have our best men
out looking for the van,” Bo answered.
“Is there any clues,” John asked.
“I’m sorry,” Shawn cried walking out of the office seeing the look on John and Marlena’s face.
Hope walked into the station with J.T. in her arms. Bo had called to tell her that their son needed her. Both
Bo and Hope knew how much Belle meant to Shawn and witnessing her kidnapping would tear his heart
out. She wrapped her arms around Shawn. Hope remembered the way she felt when she realized Bo and her
were more than just friends. Her son was growing up and falling in love with the little girl whose piggy tails
Shawn used to pull.
“Shawn, your father will find her,” Hope commented. “Just like J.T. was bought back to us.”
“Our Isabelle will be bought back to us,” Marlena replied.
“Belle is a bit different than J.T.,” Shawn yelled running away from everyone.
Everyone stood there in shock over Shawn’s comment. Shawn knew that whoever kidnapped Belle could hurt
her in more ways than one. He couldn’t help but feel guilty that he wasn’t there in time to save his ‘Perfect
Girl’.
Suddenly he heard footsteps behind him. Turning around he noticed the fear in Belle’s father’s eyes. John
knew how Shawn felt about his Izzy.
“Shawn, I know you care very deeply for my daughter. We will make sure that she comes back to us safely.
You are the one person I think who knows exactly how I am feeling right now,” John explained.
“Belle has been there for me since I got back from board school through Princess Gina trying to marry Dad to
J.T. missing. Belle has always been there for me. I don’t know what I would do without her,” Shawn justified
with a tear coming down his cheek.
John reached for the little boy he watched grow up in front of his eyes. John knew that Shawn’s love for his
daughter would bring her home. He also knew that if they ever found out about J.T. it would tear them apart.
“Let’s go find our Isabelle,” John replied letting go of Shawn.
Chapter 3
Miles and miles away Isabelle Black’s eyes were coming into focus. She was in a dark frigid room with only
a small cot where she was asleep. No windows and a solid steel door were making it impossible for her to
yell for help. She knew she was in trouble. The last thing she remembered was seeing Shawn’s face through
the back window of the van.
She doesn’t remember what happened after that. Who took her and what did they want? She heard the door
being unlocked from the outside. She looked in the eyes of the man who masterminded her kidnapping.
There in front of her stood the man who had for years tried to destroy not only her family but also the Brady’
s.
“Stefano Dimera,” Belle whispered.
“Isabelle Black, it sure is a pleasure to see you,” Stefano commented. “I wish it was under better
circumstances.”
“Oh, you mean something other than you kidnapping me and leaving me in this hell hole,” Belle shouted.
“You know my father will find me and make sure you go down for this.”
“I am hoping John makes an appearance, but the one I am hoping for is Shawn Douglas.”
“Why Shawn?”
“You have your mother’s eyes. It is amazing how much you look like her but you do have your father’s
temper.”
“You didn’t answer my question,” Belle ordered.
“I don’t think you are in a position to tell me what to do, young lady,” Stefano responded with that he left the
room.
“Shawn, where are you,” Belle asked herself.
A small window in the door opened up with bars.
“One more thing I know you are claustrophobic but that will be the least of your problems in a couple of
days,” Stefano laughed.
The window closed and her heart sank. A few minutes later she began pounding on the door hoping someone
would hear her. She knew it was no use but she had to get out of the tiny room that began getting smaller.
Belle sat on the bed her arms around her knees shaking.
“Shawn, please find me,” she cried.
Back in Salem, Shawn was pacing back and forth in his room. It had been six hours since he last saw Belle.
Her eyes were focused on him while the van drove farther away from him. Their hands trying to reach out to
each other but it was no use.
“Shawn,” his father yelled from downstairs. Hope had taken Shawn home after spending a couple hours at
the police station. He was just waiting for some news on Belle. Upon leaving the room he noticed the picture
that his Grandpa Doug took of him and Belle at his parents wedding at Christmas. He remembered that
night like it was yesterday. Belle looked so beautiful that night and when she fell on top of him while ice
skating both of them felt the electricity.
“Shawn,” Bo yelled again.
“Coming dad,” Shawn responded.
His dad, John, and Brady were standing in the living room. Hope held J.T in her arms on the other side of
the room stood John watching every movement.
“Have you found anything,” Shawn asked.
“We might have something,” the man said who walked into the house unannounced. “Guess who paid an
unexpected visit to Salem?”
“Who Abe,” Bo asked.
“DiMera,” Abe answered.
“Stefano is behind my daughter’s kidnapping,” John stated.
“Will that man stop at nothing to destroy our families,” Shawn yelled.
“Has Lexie heard from her father,” Hope wondered.
“He wouldn’t come to Salem without seeing her,” Bo mentioned.
“After the last time Stefano was in town, I am not sure she would see him,” John stated.
“I know Lexie any chance to see her father she would take it,” Abe replied. “Let’s get her here to see.”
After several minutes of talking to Lexie on the phone Abe knew she would be on her way. Stefano may be
her father but she wouldn’t be able to stop her conscious from tearing her up if he did have something to do
with Belle’s kidnapping.
“I’ll be over as soon as possible,” Lexie told Abe.
A half an hour later Lexie arrived at Bo and Hope’s with Isaac in her arms. She knew what would happen if
anyone found out that Isaac was really Hope and John’s and not Marlo and Glenn’s. Glenn would stop at
nothing to take J.T. away from Bo and Hope and she couldn’t do that to her friend.
“Yes, my father paid a surprise visit yesterday to me. He wanted to see his grandson. But I don’t think he
had anything to do with Belle disappearing,” Lexie explained.
“How can you be so sure,” John pleaded.
“Why would he take her,” Shawn asked. “What does kidnapping Belle achieve?”
Hope knew Stefano would stop at nothing to get Princess Gina back. Stefano knew how much Hope’s family
meant to her, and taking away Shawn’s first love would tear him apart for life. Hope had married her first
love - Bo Brady. Even though, Shawn tried to deny that he didn’t have romantic feelings for Belle, everyone
knew otherwise. Now that she was missing Shawn’s true feelings were being revealed. Hope now knew what
she had to do.
Chapter 4
Belle was getting restless in her cell. She wasn’t sure how long she had been here locked away from her
family and friends. Her stomach was growling, she couldn’t even remember the last time she had something
to eat.
She heard the door unlocking when a man walked in carrying a tray of food. He was probably in his early
forties with a goatee and dark hair. He noticed the beauty on the bed. He was told to feed her but it looked
like he might get a little bit of food himself.
“My...my...I must be in heaven because you look like an angel,” the man stated sitting the tray on the floor.
He walked closer to the bed while Belle tried to lean farther away. She could tell from the look in his eyes
that he wouldn’t leave until he got what he wanted.
“Stay away from me,” Belle replied.
She tried to sneak past him but he grabbed her arm and pushed her down back on the bed. He climbed on
top of her while she kept struggling to get away. She knew if she didn’t fight him she would lose the one
thing she had saved for Shawn Brady.
Her best friend had taught her a few moves to protect herself and growing up with Brady and Shawn she
had to know the moves. When he was positioned perfectly she knew it was the right time. His hands were
starting to roam around her heading towards her breast when she knead him in the groan as hard as she
could. When he leaned over in pain she elbowed him in the neck and slammed the tray the food came on over
his head and ran out of the door.
She shut the door leaving the man unconscious on the floor. She knew she had to get out of here and call
Shawn to come and get her. She quietly snuck around corners trying to find her way out of this maze she was
in. Belle heard voices and tried to stay away from them. Finally she reached a set of stairs and ran up them.
When she opened the door she noticed the female figure standing in a doorway with her back towards Belle.
The female looked very familiar to her, it was to dangerous for her to just stand there until she heard his
voice.
“Samantha, we have her. There is nothing Marlena can do now,” Stefano stated.
“She always had everything. Now it is my turn,” Samantha Evans proclaimed.
Belle heard what Stefano and the lady had said. Who was this Samantha person? What did it have to do
with her mother? Belle walked through the house that looked like it was Stefano’s mansion. Belle knew she
had to find a phone. Sleeking around was easy being the small and meek person she was. There wasn’t
many people in the mansion that could find her, but she knew if anyone noticed the guard missing they
would tell Stefano.
She found an empty room going in and shutting the door. Sitting on the desk was a picture of her father and
Hope standing in between them was Stefano, this must be Stefano’s den she thought. She saw the phone
and dialed Shawn’s house hoping someone would be there.
In Salem Shawn was sitting on the couch with J.T. on his lap. Bo was at the station and Hope was in the
kitchen talking to John.
“J.T. when Belle comes back I am going to tell her how I feel about her. She deserves to know that I can’t live
without her,” Shawn told his little brother.
Twenty four hours had passed since Belle had been kidnapped. Shawn could not sleep one wink since every
time he closed his eyes he saw her beautiful deep blue eyes staring at him.
“She means so much to me. I know I kept telling Phillip that we are to young to get in a commitment, but I
have known Belle my whole life. I couldn’t picture my future without her,” Shawn explained.
In the kitchen Hope had told John the plan she had come up with to get Belle back. John knew that Hope
was trying to save not only his daughter but also her son’s first love.
“I am not going to let you do that,” John stated.
“You have no say in the matter, John,” Hope replied.
“What if you don’t come back? What about J.T.? I think Shawn will agree with me,” John explained.
“I have got away from him before I can do it again. I can’t let him take your daughter who had nothing to do
with us. Do you have a better idea,” Hope asked.
Suddenly the phone started ringing. It rang three times before Hope caught on that Shawn had picked it up.
Shawn put his brother in the playpen before answering the phone.
“Brady residence,” Shawn answered.
“Shawn, help me,” she cried.
“Belle,” Shawn screamed.
John and Hope heard Shawn scream running into the living room.
“Are you okay,” Shawn asked.
“I’m okay now that I hear your voice,” Belle answered.
“Where are you,” he questioned.
“In Stefano’s mansion,” she whispered. “I hear someone coming I have to hide.”
“No, don’t go, Belle, I’ll find you if it is the last thing I do,” Shawn stated.
“Shawn, I don’t know if I am even in the States,” Belle said. “Plus there is someone named Samantha that
is helping Stefano.”
“Samantha! Okay, I want you to get out of that place and hide. I’ll find a way. Remember that ‘Perfect Girl’,”
Shawn cried.
“I know ‘Tough Boy’. I have to go the voices are coming closer.”
She hung up the phone and hid under the desk. She knew she had to see Shawn again. She had to tell him
how she really felt about him.
The two people who walked into the den were two voices Belle recognized. Both of them were females and
she knew one was the woman Stefano called Samantha and the other was once involved with her father.
“Kristen Blake,” Belle mouthed. She now knew she was in more trouble than she thought possible. Not only
was Stefano behind her kidnapping but so was Kristen, a woman who once was madly in love with her
father. The one that scared Belle the most was Samantha. She had no idea who she was and the unknown
frightened her the most.
Chapter 5
“She is okay,” Shawn repeated over and over again.
“Did she say where she was,” John asked.
“Stefano did kidnap her. She doesn’t even know if she is still in the States. I remember her saying it was a
mansion, but where she didn’t know. Oh, and one more thing was there ever a Samantha that tried to hurt
our families,” Shawn asked.
“Oh my god, she’s alive,” Marlena stated walking into the house with Bo.
“Who is Samantha,” Shawn questioned.
“My sister,” Marlena whispered bowing her head.
“Samantha’s alive,” Roman asked walking in shortly after Bo. “Doc, how can that be?”
“One answer, Stefano,” John and Hope replied looking into each other’s eyes.
“But what would they want with Belle,” Shawn asked.
“If Samantha was behind this it would be because when she was murdered years ago, the man who did it
was after me. He mistook Samantha for me and strangled her,” Marlena explained.
“Doc, I don’t think it is as easy as that. Like Shawn here asked what does Belle have to do with it,” Roman
questioned.
“Izzy is Marlena’s baby,” John answered. “The one way to tear Marlena apart is to take one of her children.”
“Then I guess there is only one thing to do,” Shawn stated.
“What’s that, honey,” Hope wondered.
“To get Belle back. Dad, isn’t there a way to trace where that phone call came from,” Shawn replied.
“Yea, there is, Shawn. Let me call the station to set it up,” Bo ordered.
“Marlena is there a way I could go to the penthouse to Belle’s room,” Shawn begged.
“Sure, Shawn. I’ll call Brady to let you in,” Marlena answered.
Fifteen minutes later Shawn was knocking on the door of the Black penthouse. He somehow had to be near
Belle and the only way possible was to be in her room. Some nights they would study in there and even
though they both felt the same way about each other they always denied it. She would sit on the bed laying
on her stomach her laughter would fill the room. Shawn would want to kiss her sometimes but knew the
danger.
He walked into the room and noticed nothing had changed. He looked around and noticed the cheerleading
outfit laying over her chair in the corner. Shawn couldn’t help but sit on the bed noticing the dent on the
pillow from where her head laid. The urge overwhelmed him to grab her pillow and smell the scent - her
scent. Once he took in the sense he could picture her standing next to him. He noticed the picture of her and
Shawn from his parent’s wedding sitting on the nightstand. Then he seen it sitting underneath the picture.
It was Belle’s journal. He knew he shouldn’t, but he wanted to be part of her, to be as close to her as much as
possible.
“Belle, I wish you were here,” Shawn said aloud.
Several minutes had passed when he heard the knock on the door. Shawn couldn’t read his ‘Perfect Girls’
thoughts, dreams, and desires. Brady opened the door slightly to see Shawn laying down on his sister’s bed.
“Your dad called. He found what you asked for,” Brady said.
“Already that’s great. Where is she,” Shawn asked.
“The number came from Louisiana. Your mother had said something about Maison Blanche,” Brady
answered.
“Are you up for a trip to New Orleans to save your sister. I mean if you would rather sit here all day that is
fine,” Shawn stated.
“When do we leave,” Brady asked strolling right past Shawn.
Chapter 6
In the mansion Stefano knew his plan of kidnapping Belle Black would work. Not only would he get what he
wanted, so would his adopted daughter, Kristen, and his best ally - Marlena’s twin sister. He couldn’t help
but to laugh that he didn’t see his daughter walk in.
“Alexandra, what are you doing here,” Stefano asked praying his daughter would not ruin his wonderful plan.
“You told me where you were staying. Things in Salem are getting a little shaky so I came here to ask you in
person. Belle Black has been kidnapped and I want to know if you had anything to do with it,” Lexie pleaded.
“Marlena and John must be horrified. She is a pretty little thing. Isn’t Shawn Douglas Brady and her very
close,” Stefano asked.
“They have been friends for years and Hope thinks that Belle will be Shawn’s wife one day. Even though he
denies it, Hope knows there is more than just friendship between them,” Lexie answered recalling the
conversations on how history repeats itself. A Brady man falling for a classy strong willed intelligent young
lady was exactly how Bo and Hope became involved.
“Isn’t that sweet. What is it with those Brady men,” Stefano laughed.
“Father, you didn’t answer my question. Did you have anything to do with her kidnapping?”
“You should be more worried about Hope and John finding out that Isaac is their son and not J.T.,” Stefano
explained.
“I will not let that happen. First, John is willing to let J.T. be raised by Bo and second who will find out
about the baby switch,” Lexie replied.
One of Stefano’s men came rushing in before he had a chance to answer Lexie’s question.
“Sir, the girl is missing,” the man whispered in his ear not to let Lexie hear.
“Alexandra, something has come up. But before I go I will tell you that I do not know where Miss Black is,”
Stefano answered leaving the den.
“I wish I believed you,” Lexie whispered to herself after Stefano left the room. Lexie was getting to walk out
when she heard the voice.
“Lexie,” whispered the voice hiding somewhere in the room.
“Where are you, Belle. I know that is you. Please come out, I won’t hurt you,” Lexie stated.
Coming out from underneath the desk was the Salem teen who Lexie watched grow up through the years.
Her hair was muffled and her dress was torn, the fear in her eyes told Lexie that she didn’t know who to
trust at this point.
“Are you okay,” Lexie asked.
“How did you know I was here? Are you helping him along with the other two,” Belle cried.
“What other two,” Lexie wondered.
“Well if it isn’t Alexandra Carver,” Kristen Blake stated walking into the room to see Lexie and Belle
standing there in shock.
“Kristen, you helped him,” Lexie realized.
“It was the only way to get my hands on John. To pay Marlena back for taking John away from me,” Kristen
stated.
“Well, well, what do we have here,” Samantha said walking into the room.
Belle’s eyes were playing tricks on her and Lexie was in shock. The lady in front of them could not be who it
looked like.
“I am sure your mother never showed you pictures of me,” Samantha stated to Belle.
“You’re dead,” Belle said.
“Sorry, Samantha Evans is very much alive. So how is Miss Isabelle Black, the daughter of my arch enemy
and my former fiancee,” Kristen asked.
“You look exactly like my mother,” Belle stated.
“I finally have a chance to meet one of my nieces,” Samantha smiled. “Too bad it isn’t under better
circumstances.”
“Why are you doing this,” Belle asked.
“Your mother is the reason I have lived in hiding all of these years. She is the reason I have never had a
family or the perfect love,” Samantha explained.
“So that gives you the right to kidnap me because you were jealous of my mother. Even though my mother
thought you were dead didn’t mean she didn’t think about you. My sister was given your namesake. My
mother’s first born was named after her only sibling, her twin. You. So don’t blame your wrong doings on my
mother,” Belle shouted.
“You have your father’s spitfire,” Kristen said.
“A room full of ladies, how did I get so lucky,” Stefano announced walking into the room. “One of my men will
be in some serious pain because of you, Miss Black. Why don’t we put you some where that no one can get
hurt. Alexandra, please stay right there for we can talk.”
Kristen and two other men took Belle away upstairs to one of the bedrooms in the mansion. Belle was
thrown into a bedroom with bars on the windows and no way out once the door was locked. She had to try
and get out and do what Shawn had told her to do. Her thoughts went into how wonderful he was and all of
the deep feelings she had for him. Ever since they were young they were inseparable and their parents would
always say one day they could be married. At the age of six both Shawn and Belle would squeal at the idea,
but now she could see it happening.
Downstairs Stefano had come back into the room with his daughter standing there in shock.
“You told me you didn’t know where she was,” Lexie shouted.
“At the time I didn’t. She had escaped from the guards and no one knew where she was,” Stefano defended
himself.
“Well, we now have more problems than we thought because she overheard us before. She knows about J.T.
and Isaac,” Lexie explained.
“Then we will just have to take care of her,” Kristen mentioned walking down the stairs.
“I can’t risk losing Isaac,” Lexie commented.
Back upstairs Belle was beginning to worry. As much as she adored Shawn what would happen if he knew
the truth. How could her father have cheated on her mother with Hope? To Belle it didn’t make sense, but
why would Lexie make this up. Could she tell Shawn the truth once he found her? The little boy Belle had
grown to love was not Shawn’s brother. Shawn’s real brother was being raised by the Carver’s. What would
happen to her now she knew the truth? Who could she trust?
Chapter 7
John, Bo, Brady, and Shawn had arrived in New Orleans an hour later. Hope had tried to talk Bo into
letting her go, but John had asked Bo to have her stay with Marlena. Through these crucial hours Marlena
and Hope had been getting along better than they have had in months. They knew they had to pull together
to bring the men and Belle back safely.
John knew what would happen if Hope had come to Maison Blanche with them. The idea Hope had to get
Belle back was to dangerous and not worth taking the risk of J.T. growing up without his mother. He made
sure Hope did not get on the plane with them. He wanted to tell Bo the plan Hope had come up with but
that could reveal J.T’s parentage. John and Hope could not let that happen. Both of them knew what would
happen if the truth came out. Bo would not only be hurt and probably never forgive John, but Shawn and
Belle would be effected also.
The men headed to Maison Blanche not sure on what the plan would be. Shawn was just ready to knock the
door down and find his ‘Perfect Girl’.
“I remember a hidden passage way. If we can get in that way and split up we can locate her faster,” John
explained.
Once they arrived the Brady men went one way while the Black’s went the other. The one thing keeping
them in contact was the two way radio Brady had bought with him.
“We have to find her dad,” Shawn said after they had walked for a few minutes. They had come upon the cell
that she had been in when she first arrived. The door was opened when Shawn noticed something on the
floor next to the bed.
“Dad, she was here,” Shawn stated.
“How do you know, Sailor man,” Bo asked.
“This is the fabric from her dress,” Shawn replied holding up the ripped fabric from her dress she had on at
the dance.
“John, come in, come in, John,” Bo talked into the two way. “We have a clue on where she was.”
“Bo, we found our way upstairs. And it looks like Lexie had more to do with this than we thought,” John
stated watching Lexie and Stefano arguing in the den. Brady and John were hidden behind the staircase
watching the figures in the room.
“Dad, there are two other females in there. I can’t tell who it is, but they have to know where Tink is,” Brady
mentioned.
“John, we found a piece of Belle’s dress down in a cell. She was here, but there is no trace of her now,” Bo
stated.
“Bo, I think you better get up here quick. I think we just found our missing piece of the puzzle,” John
whispered finally seeing one of the female figures.
John’s mind was playing tricks on him. Why would this person he had once loved try to destroy him?
“Dad, isn’t that,” Brady began to say.
“Kristen,” John finished.
Shawn and Bo had arrived upstairs and finally began to see what John was talking about.
“My, my, won’t the boss be happy to see what the cat dragged in,” one of Stefano’s goons had said coming up
behind the men.
Two other men had come up behind them to take them to Stefano when they heard the scream. Shawn knew
that voice anywhere. Everyone’s attention was drawn to the upper floor of the mansion.
“Shawn, take a run for it,” Bo said elbowing on of the guys in the groan while John and Brady tried to fight
the other two. Stefano came rushing out of the den with Kristen and Lexie following. During the fighting a
candelabra was knocked over en gulping the place in flames.
Shawn had reached the top of the stairs when he heard the scream once again. He knew his ‘Perfect Girl’
was in danger. Rushing closer to the room where the screams were coming from he came upon a sight that
tore his heart out. In front of his eyes was some dirt bag on top of Belle. He reached for the guy and punched
him several times while Belle hid in the corner. When the guy finally lost consciousness Shawn reached for
Belle. Her eyes were full of tears and her dress was torn even more. He held her in his arms as long as he
could until he smelled the smoke.
“Belle, we have to get out of here,” Shawn told her.
He picked her up in his arms and took her outside of the room. The tears wouldn’t stop coming and the man
who had tried to rape her earlier in the day had come back for more.
When they reached the top of the stairs they noticed they was no way they could get down them. The entire
first floor was filled with flames and no one was in sight to help them.
“Shawn, how are we going to get out of here,” Belle mumbled.
“There has to be another way out of here,” Shawn shouted. He took Belle’s hand and led her to another room.
The bedroom had a French door leading outside to a balcony. He knew that could be the only way. When they
reached the balcony they noticed smoke coming out of all the windows. The mansion was burning down
quickly and they had only a few minutes until they were caught in it. They were to high up to jump down and
that is when Shawn noticed the tree hanging a few feet away from the balcony. He knew the plan would
work if he could make the jump.
“I am going to jump on the branch over there. After I do I need you to do the same thing. We will make it out
of here. I promise,” Shawn told her wiping a tear away from her face.
“Shawn, it’s to dangerous,” Belle cried.
“Belle,” her father yelled from the ground. The men had escaped barely with their lives and now were
standing feet away from the house watching Shawn and Belle on the balcony.
“Daddy, help, us,” Belle shouted.
“Belle, this will work, please,” Shawn pleaded.
“Be careful, Shawn,” Belle told him looking into his eyes with so much fear in her eyes.
He kissed her with such passion, their lips lingered onto each as long as they could until the smoke began to
make Belle choke.
“I love you, Belle,” Shawn whispered in her ear before he went for the jump.
She couldn’t believe what she had just heard from his luscious lips. He admitted that he loved her. And now
she was standing on the balcony by herself. Shawn had jumped across the balcony reaching the tree branch.
Belle was still in shock over what she had heard from his lips that she didn’t hear him screaming her name.
“Belle, jump. Come on, Belle,” Shawn was yelling.
Bo had ran towards the tree trying to help his boy. Brady was standing next to his father a few feet away
praying Belle would make the jump. Both of them had witnessed the kiss between the two teenagers and
knew when they got out of this that they would have to keep an eye on Shawn.
She ran towards the tree jumping towards the branch that Shawn had grabbed. She was off by a couple of
inches falling.
“No,” Shawn yelled watching his Belle fall. Watching what unfolded was spectacular, Bo had caught the
teenager in his arms. Shawn had climbed down the tree and once his feet touched the ground his heart took
control. He took Belle from his father’s arms hugging her as tight as possible.
A half an hour later they were back on the jet on their way back home. Belle was laying in Shawn’s arms
sleeping peacefully, a blanket wrapped around them. Bo and John sat across from them watching the two.
“I think we are going to have to keep an eye on them,” John stated.
“Do you think we have seen the last of Stefano,” Brady asked who was sitting on the other side of his father.
“Not in the least,” Bo replied.
“The three of them escaped before we had a chance,” John mentioned.
“Who was the other person in the den,” Brady asked.
“I guess we will never know,” Bo stated.
“She must have went out from the den when the fire broke out,” John said.
“Do you know why Belle was screaming,” Brady asked.
“Do you guys mind we are trying to sleep over here,” Shawn mumbled opening his eyes.
“Sorry, son, go back to sleep. You haven’t slept much in the last forty eight hours,” Bo explained.
On another plane miles and miles away, Stefano, Lexie, Kristen, and Samantha were heading to an
unknown destination.
“What about Isaac and Abe,” Lexie asked.
“Someone has already taking care of Isaac. Once we reach our destination he will be waiting for you. But
Abe, on the other hand, won’t. If he found out about Isaac’s true parentage he would give him away to his
rightful parents. And we can’t have that now,” Stefano explained.
“No one will believe Belle that Samantha is still alive,” Kristen mentioned. “So we still have an advantage
over them.”
“I can’t believe that I have given up everything I ever cared about because of this,” Lexie stated.
“At least you will have Isaac,” Stefano replied.
“John’s son,” Kristen proclaimed.
“See, we have more than we bargained for,” Samantha laughed.
The Black jet touched down at the Salem airport with the entire Brady and Black clan waiting for their
loved ones. Bo, John, and Brady were outside of the plane leaving Shawn and Belle to follow. Belle knew
that since they were finally alone for just a few minutes until their families welcomed them home, she took
her chance.
“Tough boy, I want to tell you something before we go out there,” Belle said grabbing his arm.
“What is that, Belle,” Shawn asked standing by the doorway.
“I love you, too,” Belle smiled then kissing him.
“Remember who said it first,” Shawn laughed after the kiss.
A few hours later Belle, John, Marlena, and Brady arrived at the Brady Pub to celebrate Belle’s
homecoming. Inside of the pub were Sami, Caroline, Grandpa Shawn, Bo, Hope, J.T, Phillip, Chloe, Mimi,
and Shawn waiting for the guest of honor.
They were having so much fun that Belle’s mind had tried to erase the important information she had heard
hours earlier.
“Belle, are you okay,” Shawn whispered in her ear. They were sitting at a booth next to each other sharing a
milkshake.
“What Shawn,” Belle asked.
“Were you thinking about what happened,” Shawn wondered.
Suddenly Abe ran into the Pub looking for Bo and Hope. Belle’s eyes focused on Abe hoping he didn’t find out
that the woman he loved and trusted was just as evil as her father.
“Bo, she’s gone. Isaac is missing also,” Abe said. “She is more like her father than I thought.”
“What would she have gained from helping her father kidnap Belle,” Hope asked.
“I don’t know, but she left a message saying she wouldn’t be coming back anytime soon. Her and Isaac will
be living with her father now. Wherever that is,” Abe answered.
“If they only knew,” Belle whispered to herself.
“What was that,” Shawn asked Belle.
“Nothing, nothing to worry about,” Belle stated.
She couldn’t tell him the truth. She knew from the moment Shawn told her he loved her that she couldn’t
tell anyone the truth. Belle had to keep the secret that could destroy everyone’s life that was in that pub. It
would destroy not only her and Shawn’s new found relationship, but also her parents, and his parent’s. She
had to keep hidden that they shared a brother that was now being raised be Stefano DiMera.
